BAYELSA STATE VOLUNTEERS SECURITY OUTFIT APPREHEND ROBBERY SUSPECTS IN EDEPIE, YENAGOA

The Bayelsa State Volunteers Security Outfit has successfully apprehended and paraded two suspected robbers following an early morning robbery incident in Edepie, Yenagoa.

The suspects are identified as:
1. Mr. Ifiemi Nayo – Age 31, from Brass LGA, Bayelsa State. Resident of Yenizuegene. He is reportedly a member of the Vikings cult group.

2. Mr. Kelvin Otuaguma – Age 31, from Isoko South LGA, Delta State. Resident of Gamag Road, Edepie. He is allegedly a member of the Iceland cult group.

According to reports, at about 3:00 am. on September 18, 2025, the suspects stormed the residence of Miss Favour Wesley, carting away items including three “bom shots,” a trouser, and a pair of palm slippers. Shortly after, they reportedly invaded another compound on the same street and made away with a brand-new generator.

Upon receiving the distress report, operatives of the Bayelsa State Volunteers Security Outfit, Tombia Unit, swiftly mobilized to the scene. Their timely intervention led to the successful arrest of the suspects, who were immediately taken to the operational base in Tombia for interrogation.

The suspects were formally handed over to Operation Doo-Akpo security operative unit for further investigation and prosecution.

The Chairman of the Security Outfit, High Chief Oyinkuro Lucky Asanakpo, reiterates its commitment to safeguarding lives and properties across the state and warns all criminally minded individuals to desist from unlawful activities.
