Bayelsa PDP Holds First State Working Committee Meeting Under Turnah’s Leadership

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, under the leadership of Hon. Barr. George Turnah, on Monday held its first State Working Committee (SWC) meeting at the party’s newly established state secretariat in Yenagoa.
The meeting, which brought together members of the State Working Committee and other key party officials, marked a significant step in strengthening the administrative structure and coordination of the party following the emergence of the new state leadership.
Addressing members during the meeting, Turnah emphasized the need for unity, discipline and commitment among party executives, stressing that the PDP in Bayelsa must remain focused on consolidating its achievements and maintaining its dominance in the state’s political landscape.
He noted that the inauguration of the new secretariat and the immediate commencement of official meetings reflect the readiness of the new leadership to provide effective direction for the party.
Turnah further assured party faithful that the leadership of the PDP in the state would work tirelessly to strengthen grassroots mobilization, promote internal democracy and ensure that the party remains a strong platform for the people of Bayelsa.
