Bayelsa PDP Chairman, George Turnah, Visits Bereaved Obom Family

Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, on Friday paid a condolence visit to Hon. ThankGod Mark Obom at his residence in Kolo Town following the death of his first son.

Turnah, who led the visit to sympathize with the bereaved family, described the loss of a child as a painful and heartbreaking experience, urging the family to remain steadfast in faith during the difficult period.

He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Hon. Obom and other members of the family, praying for the peaceful repose of the departed soul and asking God to grant them the strength, comfort, and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The PDP State Chairman also encouraged the family to take solace in God, expressing hope that divine grace would sustain them through their moment of grief.

The condolence visit reflected the party leadership’s commitment to standing with its members and supporters during moments of sorrow, while reaffirming the values of compassion, solidarity, and shared humanity.

Family members and sympathizers present appreciated Turnah for the visit, describing his gesture as a source of comfort and encouragement at a time of profound loss.

The deceased is survived by his parents, siblings, and other relatives.
