Bayelsa Housing GM, Isenah assures Federal Mortgage Bank of collaboration

….says pending issues will be resolved for smooth completion of Housing projects

General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of the Bayelsa State Housing and Property Development Authority, Rt. Hon. Tonye Emmanuel Isenah Ph.D, has assured the federal mortgage Bank of Nigeria of the state government’s collaboration in delivering affordable housing to civil servants and other Bayelsans.

Rt. Hon. Isenah stated this when he received a team from the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, led by the Executive Director of Loans and Mortgage services, Hon. Muhammad Sani Abdu, on a courtesy visit in his office in Yenagoa.

The General Manager further assured of the corporation of the state government in handling pending issues amicably, in terms of loans and other areas for a smooth completion of Housing projects in the state, while stating that the prosperity government led by Senator Douye Diri is committed to providing affordable housing for Bayelsans.

“Since I assumed office as the General Manager, I studied the
File of the federal mortgage Bank, and we saw that years after, the project is still there and nothing was happening, we have been looking for a way to get to the federal mortgage Bank, in order for these houses to be completed.

If those buildings are completed, it will ease the burden of paying house rents by our civil servants. I thank you for coming to pay this courtesy visit on us, and I believe that with the collaboration between the Bayelsa State government and the federal mortgage bank, we can complete those houses and put them to use, because the Senator Douye Diri-led prosperity government is very committed to providing affordable housing to Bayelsans,” Rt. Hon. Isenah stated.

In his remarks, Executive Director of Loans and mortgage services of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, Hon. Muhammad Sani Abdu assured of a good working relationship and collaboration in order to deliver good and affordable housing to the people.

Hon. Sani Abdu thanked Rt. Hon. Tonye Isenah for his efforts in completing abandoned housing projects in the state, and for writing to the Federal mortgage bank, while stating the commitment of the Bank to attend to all pending issues that has hindered the smooth collaboration.

“The point is that, we have a relationship, even if things didn’t go down well as planned previously, and we have the same goal, and that is, affordable housing for our people nationwide and particularly here in Bayelsa.

Now, we have a very energetic General Manager in the person of Rt. Hon. Isenah, and I thank him for taking the bull by the horn to write to us, that prompted us to come here. We will continue to collaborate with state governments, to give affordable housing to our people,” Hon. Sani Abdu stated.
