Courtesy Visit: Former Bayelsa State Lawmakers pass vote of confidence on Gov. Diri, endorse him for 2nd term

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, today received former members of the State House of Assembly led by its forum Chairman, Chief Robert Ayalla Enogha, at the Governor’s Conference Room, Government House, Yenagoa

.

The legislators appreciated Governor Diri on his developmental strides in the State and passed a vote of confidence on him to continue as Governor for a second term.

The motion was raised by former Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Boyelayefa Debekeme and seconded by former acting Governor of the State, Rt. Hon. Werinipre Seibarugu.

“On behalf of this Government, the Prosperity Government, we want to appreciate you and acknowledge you for the thoughtfulness to come and share challenges and issues with your Government.

Let me on behalf of myself, my Deputy Governor and all of us in Government appreciate you for your vote of confidence. It is very motivational to hear from former members of the State House of Assembly passing a vote of confidence via a motion raised by a former presiding officer, seconded by another presiding officer.

We want to thank and appreciate you and let you know that, that is a very big motivation for this Government to continue to do more,” Governor Diri stated.

Earlier, Chief Enogha, had said the lawmakers were happy with the great achievements of the Prosperity Administration in different sectors.
