BAYELSA CAMPUS QUEEN ORGANIZATION PAID A COURTESY VISIT TO HON. MRS FAITH OPENE; HONOURABLE COMMISSIONER FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN AFFAIRS, EMPOWERMENT AND SOCIAL, BAYELSA STATE.
The Bayelsa Campus Queen Organization team led by the Team Lead Mr. Bowei-Ofongo Ebipadei , met with the Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Empowerment and Social Development Bayelsa State.
The visit was to familiarize with the Hon. Commissioner and also brief her about the Organization program, which the team invited the Hon. Commissioner as a Special Guest of Honour.
Mr. Bowei-Ofongo Ebipadei; stated that BCQ as an organization was birth out of concerns towards the girl child education in Bayelsa State. So far the Organization has been working within the clock to see how, they could contribute to the development of state by dragging the government’s attention towards pertinent issues that concerns the girl child welfare and support. The Hon. Commissioner was officially informed of the program to be organize by the team, which is, in line with the need for an effective, strong advocacy and orientation for feminine participation in the forthcoming general election; the Organization intends to Organize a One Day Sensitization and Orientation Program tagged THE ROLE OF FEMALES IN THE FORTHCOMING GENERAL ELECTION. The program is scheduled to hold on Friday 19th August, 2022 at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Conference Hall, Ekeki Yenagoa.
In which, notable and well respected women in the society has also been invited to be part of the program.
Also speaking QUEEN, Deborah Joshua who is the Bayelsa Campus Queen, Girl Child Ambassador; appreciated the Hon. Commissioner for having the audience with the team. She also said, that been a participant of BCQ in the previous edition; has made an impact in life as an individual and she’s ready to make such impact in other young females life too. That’s she has been working with the team closely to achieve the vision of the Organization.
As part of the activities of the visit, the Honourable Commissioner was Confer as a Patron of Bayelsa Campus Queen Organization.
In response, the Hon. Commissioner was indeed impress with the vision of the Bayelsa Campus Queen Organization towards adding value to the activities of the Government. She also used the opportunity to charge the team to keep up with the good work, the Organization is doing and she also promised to be in attendance in the forthcoming program of the Organization.
