APC scribe, Oseke, Sunny-Goli, Olomu wins Federal House of Reps primaries in Bayelsa
The State Secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, Hon Ebipade Fekoweimo and two incumbent Members of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Preye Oseke and Israel Sunny-Goli have won the ticket of the party in the just concluded Federal House of Reps primaries in the state.
While Hon Ebipade Fekoweimo; emerges as the flag flag bearer of the Party in the Kolokuma/Opokuma/Yenagoa Federal Constituency with 20,820 votes to defeat his opponent Chief Chubby Ben-Watson who scored 376 votes.
NAIJA LIVE TV gathered that, Hon. Preye Oseke was declared winner of the House of Reps primary election of All Progressives Congress (APC) for Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency with a total of 16,511 votes to clinch the party’s ticket and Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli was returned unopposed in the Brass/Nembe Federal constituency primaries to run for a second term in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The duo of Hon. Eddi Orubo and Hon. Michael Olomu also emerged at the primaries conducted at Ogbia and Sagbama respectively.
While Hon Eddi Orubo won the party ticket to represent Ogbia Federal constituency, Hon. Michael Olomu won the ticket for the Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency. In one of the result from Ofoni 2 ward 4 in Sagbama Local Government area of the state Hon. Olomu scored with 711 votes as against his opponent Hon. Susan Waibode Kiridi who scored 9 votes.
Hon. Mike Olomu scored a total of 27,930 votes out of the 28,250 accredited voters. While his opponent Susan Waibode Kiridi scored 33 votes.
The member representing Nembe/Brass Federal constituency, Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli. After his victory for second term, commended the delegates and stakeholders for choosing him and other candidates of the Party.
Hon. Sunny-Goli declared that he was humbled by the confidence reposed in him by voting him for the second term,” I am humbled by the confidence you have reposed in me, by collectively ensuring I emerge as the standard-bearer of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), at the recently concluded primary election of our great party”.
“I thank you all profoundly, for finding me worthy to fly the flag of our great party. Be rest assured that I shall reciprocate this gesture by going all out, to ensure our victory in the 2023 Brass-Nembe Federal Constituency election.But as you all know, a single tree does not make a forest; neither can a single string make music; this is why I will count on the support of all, for the actualization of our desired victory in the 2023 elections. We did it before, riding on the waves of your unflinching support, we can do it again.”
Also commenting on the Primaries, the State Publicity Secretary of the APC IN Bayelsa, Doifie Buokoribo, who confirmed the peaceful conduct of the Federal House of Representatives primaries, declared that “The Party congratulates all the aspirants who are now candidates. Similarly, it commends Party faithful for their peaceful conduct during the exercise which was conducted across the state through direct Primaries.”
He also said the Party Primaries were the easier part in the electioneering process,” The big challenge is to win the main election, and APC in Bayelsa State is determined to win all the elections in this 2023 circle”
