A leading presidential candidate of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), High Chief (Barr.) Macdonald Igbadiwei, has extended a heartfelt New Month message to the Ijaw Nation, urging unity, resilience, and renewed commitment to collective development as the month of April begins.
In his goodwill message released on Tuesday, Igbadiwei described April as a symbol of renewal, growth, and fresh beginnings, emphasizing that the new month presents opportunities for progress despite past challenges.
Addressing “beloved brothers and sisters of the great Ijaw Nation,” the INC presidential hopeful expressed gratitude and optimism about the future, noting that the Ijaw people have consistently demonstrated resilience, courage, and unity in the face of adversity.
“April symbolizes renewal, growth, and fresh beginnings. It is a reminder that no matter the challenges we have faced, a new season always comes with new opportunities,” he stated.
He called on Ijaw sons and daughters to remain steadfast in promoting peace across communities, defending their cultural heritage, and working collectively towards the development of the region. According to him, the strength of the Ijaw Nation lies in its solidarity and shared determination to rise above challenges.
Reaffirming his ambition and commitment as a leading presidential candidate of the INC, Igbadiwei pledged to continue advocating for the rights and interests of the Ijaw people, ensuring their voices are heard and their future secured.
“As a leading Presidential candidate of the Ijaw National Congress, I remain committed to championing the cause of our people, ensuring that our voices are heard, our rights protected, and our future secured,” he added.
He further prayed for divine blessings, good health, and open opportunities for all Ijaw families in the new month, while expressing hope for sustained peace and empowerment for the youth.
The message concluded with a call for April to be embraced as a month of unity, progress, and victories for the entire Ijaw Nation.
