BAYELSA PDP STATE CONGRESS HOLDS TODAY AT THE NEW STATE SECRETARIAT

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State is set to hold its State Congress today alongside the official commissioning of its newly completed state secretariat located at Okutukutu along the expressway before King George’s Court Hotel in Yenagoa.

Party leaders, delegates, stakeholders and members of the public are expected to converge at the new secretariat for the significant political event, which party officials say marks a major milestone in strengthening the party’s administrative structure and grassroots mobilization in the state.

According to a statement issued by the Acting State Secretary of the party, Alfreder Ebibofayei Ato, the State Congress will bring together party faithful from across the eight local government areas of the state to deliberate on party matters and further consolidate the PDP’s presence in Bayelsa.

Ato noted that the commissioning of the new secretariat represents a strategic step towards improving coordination of party activities and providing a permanent administrative base for the party in the state.

He also called on party leaders, delegates and members of the public to attend the event and witness what he described as a landmark development in the party’s history in Bayelsa.

Political observers say the State Congress and the unveiling of the new secretariat are expected to further energize the party’s supporters while reinforcing the PDP’s longstanding dominance in Bayelsa’s political landscape.

The statement was signed by Ato in her capacity as Acting State Secretary of the party.
