Turnah’s Leadership Praised as PDP Stabilizes in Bayelsa

YENAGOA, Nigeria — Leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State have commended George Turnah, the Acting chairman of the party in the state, for what they described as exemplary leadership that has helped restore stability, unity, and renewed confidence within the party’s ranks.
Speaking on behalf of a coalition of party faithful and stakeholders, political support groups in the state expressed appreciation for the administrative style and inclusive approach adopted by Turnah since assuming office as Acting chairman. According to them, his leadership has played a significant role in strengthening internal cohesion and promoting peace within the party structure.
The group noted that under Turnah’s stewardship, the PDP in Bayelsa has witnessed a renewed sense of direction, with improved coordination among party leaders, grassroots mobilization, and stronger engagement with members across the various local government areas of the state.
They further stated that his commitment to consultation, transparency, and discipline within party structures has contributed greatly to maintaining unity and preventing internal divisions. “The stability currently being enjoyed in the party is largely due to the leadership qualities demonstrated by Barrister George Turnah. He has shown patience, maturity, and a strong commitment to the ideals of the party,” the group said.
Party members also praised Turnah for prioritizing reconciliation among aggrieved stakeholders and ensuring that all tendencies within the party feel included in decision-making processes. The coalition expressed confidence that the Acting chairman’s leadership would continue to position the party for greater electoral success in the future.
