Bayelsa state coordinator of the City boy movement Congratulates Peter Akpe on Emergence as Bayelsa Deputy Governor

The Coordinator of the City Boy Movement in Bayelsa State, Barr Blankson Edwin Osomkime, has congratulated the newly sworn-in Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon. Peter Akpe, describing his emergence as a welcome development for the state.
In a statement, Osomkime commended Governor Douye Diri for what he termed a strategic choice in appointing Akpe as deputy governor, noting that the decision reflects confidence in experience, loyalty, and administrative competence.
The City Boy Movement coordinator expressed optimism that Akpe’s wealth of experience in governance, particularly his previous role as Chief of Staff to the Governor, would further strengthen the Prosperity Administration’s drive for inclusive development.
He urged the new deputy governor to remain steadfast in promoting policies that will enhance youth empowerment, economic growth, and infrastructural development across the state.
Osomkime also reaffirmed the support of the City Boy Movement in Bayelsa State for initiatives that promote good governance and sustainable development, stressing the importance of collaboration among political stakeholders for the progress of the state.
