Youths of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide South South zone, the apex sociocultural organisation of the Igbo people in the region, are saddened by the demise of the former Deputy Governor of Bayelsa, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.

As a matter of relationship being the D.G. Unified Non- Natives Association Bayelsa State Chapter Senator Ewhrudjakpo’s death is an irrecoverable loss to the Bayelsa State and Nigeria.

Late Sen, Ewhrudjakpo is unreserved mentor, leader and philanthropist who always attended to the needs of the poor, needy, sick, widows, motherless babies and downtrodden.

“He single-handedly built a church in his village, and he used to celebrate mass in the chapel inside his private residence in Government House every morning; he is the brain behind the ecumenical centre in Igbogene, where the entire state praises and worships God today.

By the virtue of the immeasurable impacts to humanity and services to God Almighty He deserved to stay alive and continue the good works but God knows better, is well, as we can’t bring you back even though you meant almost everything to us and the state Bayelsa.

I sincerely want to condole with his beloved family, the Ofoni federated community and in particular his ally and friend, the Govornor of Bayelsa State, Sen Douye Diri, the government and people of Bayelsa, while praying to God to grant him eternal rest.
