THE BAYELSA STATE POLICE COMMAND HAS CONFIRMED THE ARREST OF FOUR PERSONS IN CONNECTION WITH THE DEATH OF AN EKOWE COMMUNITY INDIGENE, MR. CLEVER CHARLES ABADI

Speaking to our correspondent via a telephone call on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Musa Mohammed, disclosed that the suspects arrested in connection with the incident are Musa Abdullahi, James Peter, Godbless Joel and Peremobowei Perepuighegha.
DSP Mohammed cautioned members of the public against spreading unverified rumours, particularly narratives suggesting that the killing was perpetrated by northerners, urging residents to always seek and verify information from the Police before making public statements.
He assured that normalcy has been restored to the area, adding that the Command is following all lawful procedures to ensure that justice is served in the matter.
The Police spokesperson reiterated the commitment of the Bayelsa State Police Command to the protection of lives and property, while calling on residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies as investigations continue.
