Queen Hassana Ozohu Salisu Hosted the IDOMA international Carnival and the Nigeria Carnival Queen’s 23rd to 26th 2025

From December 23rd to 26th, 2025, the ancient hills of Otukpo, Benue State, pulsed with color, rhythm, and royalty as the IDOMA International Carnival lit up Nigeria’s cultural calendar. This wasn’t just a festival—it was a movement. A celebration of identity, unity, and the unstoppable rise of women like Queen Hassana Ozohu Salisu, who didn’t just host the event—she _owned_ it.

The Carnival That Shook Nigeria

Founded in 2013 by Prince Edwin Ochai, the IDOMA International Carnival has grown into one of Africa’s most iconic cultural showcases. What began as the _Agila Social and Economic Carnival_ is now a four-day spectacle of parades, masquerades, music, fashion, and pageantry that attracts thousands from across Nigeria and the diaspora⁽¹⁾⁽²⁾.

This year’s edition, themed “ALO GW’EEYE” (Let’s Celebrate), marked the carnival’s 14th anniversary. The Benue State Government backed the event with a $15 million creative fund, a speculation that wasn’t true.

In a dazzling finale, Jael Tanite Kallamu (Miss Borno) emerged as the Nigerian Carnival Queen 2025/2026, defeating 12 other contestants in a fierce competition. The event, held on the carnival’s grandest night, saw Jael crowned amidst cheers from dignitaries, cultural icons, and fans. She walked away with a brand-new car and a one-year salary, courtesy of Prince Edwin Ochai⁽⁴⁾.

But if there was one name on everyone’s lips, it was Queen Hassana Ozohu Salisu, the reigning Miss Nollywood International 2024/2025. A 26-year-old journalism student and filmmaker from Okene, Kogi State, who is also the founder of sefoundation, And the Sallhassy Group of companies which mother’s the Sallhassy homes and properties, Sallhassy academy and agency,and the miss Nollywood international walk of Fame and merit award limited. Hassana beat 18 contestants to win the crown in Bayelsa in 2024

As the official host of the entire carnival and the Nigerian Carnival Queen pageant, also the host and panel host of the IDOMA Nollywood international film festival, she brought elegance, charisma, and a fierce energy that captivated the audience. The Visionaries Behind the Magic: Prince Edwin Ochai and His Brother

At the heart of this cultural renaissance are Prince Edwin Ochai and his brother, whose vision and leadership have transformed the IDOMA Carnival into a global brand. As
founder and president, Prince Ochai has been praised by the Benue State Government for his consistency, innovation, and commitment to youth development⁽¹⁾⁽²⁾.
