Reuben Clifford Wilson Visits Global Olabo’s Multi-Billion Naira Groundnut Oil Refinery in Benin

High Chief Reuben Clifford Wilson, the Member of the Governing Council of the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, and National Leader/Founder of the Pastor Reuben Initiative for Good Leadership and Accountability (PRIGFLA), paid a surprise visit to his friend, Mr God’s Power Irabor, MD/CEO of Global Olabo Nigeria Limited, in Benin City, Edo State.

High Chief Reuben Clifford Wilson led an entourage on a guided tour of the company’s expansive multipurpose animal feeds factory and the ultra-modern, multi-billion-naira groundnut oil refinery—described as the first major indigenous groundnut oil refining facility of its kind in the area. The visit was marked by excitement and commendation for the scale, innovation, and economic significance of the project.

Speaking during the inspection, High Chief Wilson praised Mr Irabor’s vision and resilience, noting that the investment reflects the values of accountability, enterprise, and sustainable development promoted by PRIGFLA. He described the refinery as a strategic contribution to Nigeria’s agro-industrial growth, job creation, and food security, while reducing dependence on imported edible oils.

In his response, Mr God’s Power Irabor expressed appreciation for the visit and support, stating that the project was driven by a desire to add value to local agricultural produce, empower farmers, and strengthen the domestic value chain. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to quality, innovation, and national development.

A major highlight of the visit was the confirmation that the groundnut oil refinery will be officially commissioned next month by High Chief Reuben Clifford Wilson, an event expected to draw key stakeholders from government, industry, and the business community.

The visit underscored a shared commitment to promoting indigenous industrial capacity, ethical leadership, and impactful investments capable of driving inclusive economic growth in Nigeria.
