Our Commitment to Peace, Unity, and Responsible Journalism

GbaramatuVoice is aware of recent attempts to discredit our media organization and its publisher through false, misleading, and inflammatory narratives circulating in various media platforms.

We consider these claims not only unfounded but also a deliberate attempt to discredit the work of a media platform that has, for years, remained committed to peacebuilding, responsible journalism, and the promotion of unity across the Niger Delta and beyond.

Let it be clearly stated: GbaramatuVoice has never, and will never, promote hate, violence, or division among any people. Our editorial policy is built on truth, fairness, and inclusiveness. We reject every form of incitement, misinformation, and sensationalism. We always believe that as a responsible news organisation, we don’t have to be in the middle of a brewing tension to get the best shot. Secondly, we can’t just follow whoever goes anywhere without question. A news organisation should be able to differentiate between what accentuate its policy deliverables and what is not.

Attempts to associate our platform with historical acts of media-driven violence or genocide are dangerous, reckless, and do not reflect the facts. These comparisons are not only false, they seek to undermine the positive role we continue to play in informing, educating, and bridging communities.

For nearly a decade, GbaramatuVoice has exhibited deep experience in creating sustainable, balanced, comprehensive value and driving strategy in news reporting. We have consistently projected the voices of the underserved, advocated for social justice, and contributed to nation-building through credible journalism. We have engaged with all groups in the region with fairness, integrity, and mutual respect.

We urge the public to disregard any divisive commentary aimed at sowing tension or misrepresenting our mission. We also encourage those peddling inciting content to choose truth and peaceful dialogue.

To our followers, readers, and partners across the Niger Delta, be assured: GbaramatuVoice will never waver in its commitment to truth, inclusivity, and progress. We are here for all peoples and tribes. We are here to build bridges, not walls.
