UNIBEN Comes Top at Phillip C. Jessup Moot Court Competition, to Represent Nigeria in US

The University of Benin has emerged winners at the 2025 Nigerian national rounds of the prestigious Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition.

The UNIBEN team, comprising of Joel Pajiah, Praise Mofeoluwa Jorda, Osauyi Agbonwaneten, Modupe Oreye and Itohan Omoregie as advocates together and the team advisor Professor Mrs Ezekiel Precious Mobolaji would be representing Nigeria in the international rounds holding at Washington DC, USA in late March.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Professor Edoba Omoregie SAN and the dean of the faculty of law, Professor Bright Bazuaye have expressed great pride in this victory featuring other schools including the University of Lagos, University of Calabar, Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Ibadan etc.

The Vice Chancellor also commended the faculty of law for their dedication in preparing the team for the competition and encouraged them to make Nigeria and the university proud in the international rounds.

Congratulations to the ILSA UNIBEN team 2025 for their victory.
