PRESS STATEMENT FROM GEORGE TURNER ON  WITHDRAWAL OF DIRECTIVE

I hereby formally withdraw my previous directive asking my associates within the Prosperity Administration, under His Excellency Sen. Douye Diri, to resign. The request for the George Turnah Football Club to withdraw from the ongoing Prosperity Tournament is also hereby withdrawn. I encourage the team to strive for success and, if possible, secure the trophy. The club will receive my full financial support throughout the tournament.

I extend my sincere gratitude to the Ogbia PDP WARD 9 Executive Committee, led by Honourable Progress Ederi, for their tremendous love, respect, loyalty, and commitment. My pledge for a monthly support allowance, in addition to regular payments from the State Party administration, remains unchanged.

For clarity, my earlier directives were triggered by the unlawful “inauguration” of a parallel Ward Executive Committee for Ogbia Ward 9 by the State Working Committee, following the refusal of the authentic WEC to suspend me from the Party without justification. Such actions contradict the democratic values that Governor Diri upholds. I doubt that he would endorse such illegality, leading to my decision to withdraw my prior directives.

I believe that family issues can be resolved amicably. Papa and pikin wahala no dey hard to settle!
