Resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) by Evang Parkins Ogede
I, Evang Parkins Ogede, immediate past Vice Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, wish to officially announce my resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
This decision, though not an easy one, has been made after careful consideration and reflection. My reasons for leaving the party are personal and rooted in my belief that this is in the best interest of the greater Bayelsa State.
For years, I have had the privilege to serve and work alongside numerous dedicated individuals within our great party, contributing to the advancement of our state and the well-being of our people. However, as the political landscape continues to evolve, I have found it necessary to chart a new course that aligns with my personal convictions and aspirations for a better Bayelsa.
I remain deeply committed to the progress and unity of our state and I believe that by making this move, I will be better positioned to contribute meaningfully to the future of Bayelsa. It is my hope that we all continue to strive for a Bayelsa where every citizen can thrive and where leadership is focused on delivering the much-needed growth and development for the people.
I thank the leadership of the PDP and all those who have supported me during my time with the party. My decision today is about putting the interests of Bayelsa first and I look forward to continuing to serve our people in new and impactful ways.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Evang Parkins Ogede
(Immediate Past Vice Chairman, Southern Ijaw LGA)
