Governor Buni takes charge of APC after returning from medical trip abroad

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has resumed as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) caretaker committee, after returning to the country from a medical trip abroad.

Mamman Mohammed, his Director-General of press and media relations made the announcement on Thursday March 17.

Reacting to the leadership crisis that played out while he was away, Buni asked APC members to support the party ahead of its March 26 national convention, and also urged them to shun issues capable of hindering the party from success.

The statement read;

“Put the recent events in the party behind you and work towards a successful convention.

“The success of the party remains paramount and needs the support of every member.

“As we head towards the national convention, the party needs the support of every stakeholder and member to succeed.

“As democrats and committed party members, we should avoid issues that are capable of diverting our attention from the path of success.”
